The reviews for my size were all over the place (women my size were buying small, medium and larges and said they fit great) so I got these in medium. I'm 5ft, 140 lbs, Upon first trying them on they fit just a smidge loose. Not baggy, they just sit on my hips just right. No squeeze to them. But they are 100% cotton so they did shrink in the wash. Now they have a small squeeze to them on my hips but they're not uncomfortable. I would say wait until there is a sale. Next time I might try a size large and see if it fits more perfect post wash.
